I never thought I’d see the day where those senseless laws banning women from almost everything in KSA were lifted.
Well congratulations ladies, according to various news sources, a decree will be issued by the end of the year lifting the ban on women driving (a ban since the establishment of state in 1932) as a part of King Abdullah’s reform strategy.
“There has been a decision to move on this by the Royal Court because it is recognised that if girls have been in schools since the 1960s, they have a capability to function behind the wheel when they grow up,” a government official told The Daily Telegraph. “We will make an announcement soon.”
This is definitly a turning point.
