Singapore has a variety of creative ideas to enhance beauty, one being Fish Reflexology.  I’m not too fond of the idea and it makes me a bit sick when I think about it at 9:00am in the morning but who knows.  This may become a worldwide breakthrough trend within a few years so I’m giving you the heads up now.  Check out below the intro that Sentosa.com gives on the subject.

“Experience a unique and revitalizing therapy, complete with a foot massage at Fish Reflexology, Underwater World. With soft lightings, calming sonance of a river stream and feet relaxed in a warm pool, witness a school of Turkish spa fish swim up and gently nibble on your feet. These adorable little fish consume only the dead skin areas, revealing your smoother and healthier skin – the perfect way to exfoliate and pamper your feet.

Following the “nibbling massage”, our qualified foot reflexologists will rub and knead your feet to good shape.”

Package A (40-min) – S$35* per session
Includes:
Spa Fish Pool Dip – 20 mins (preparation time up to 5 mins)
Foot Reflexology – 20 mins

Package B (50-min) – S$50* per session
Includes:
Spa Fish Pool Dip – 20 mins (preparation up to 5 mins)
Foot Reflexology- 20 mins
Head & Shoulder Massage – 10 mins

It’s finally here!  My friends are taking off tomorrow at 5:30pm to Thailand.  Basically the trip will consist of a stopover in Qatar, 2 days in Bangkok and 4 in Phuket.  I don’t have much to say about how excited I am because my mind is in override trying to remember everything I have to do and get before we leave.

I did a quick run on some links that could print out to jog my memory which should also be a help to you upon preparation of your travels.

Nescafe : Take 2

It’s been one of those months where one new element comes into your life and your whole world is reshuffled to make room.  That new element for me was Hanx.  Ever since the last 6 months, my friends and I have fallen into a comfortable routine that just revolves around us.  And that’s the way we like it.  “We” consists of Fonzy, Sita, FKU, Stevo, Babycakes (me) and Sammy boy.  We go to coffee during the week, play Game Night on Thursday, go to parties together, travel together, discuss pressing issues about the world together ;) and support each other.  It’s one of those friendships that you pray will never end.  The only problem with this is that sometimes one change in any of our lives can cause a ripple in the status quo.

My friends have been so supportive of me in the last month with encouraging words, giving me some space and being patient.  But from my end, the buck stops there when my actions are the cause of someone else’s discomfort or when I can’t be there for the people who mean the most to me.

This brings me to the subject of Nescafe … In September 2007, Fonzy and I became the walking depiction of Nescafe.  I’m white and he’s dark but we blend together so well.  It took a matter of a week for us to become great friends and we haven’t split since.  He is the one that made my transition to Kuwait so smooth and I know for a fact that under any other circumstance or without him there as my friend and brother (gym buddy, chauffeur, confidant, teddy bear and fear of flying coach), I wouldn’t have been 1% as happy as I am now.

Eventhough he never stressed on the subject and was fully supportive by giving me space and always a smiling face, I know that he was the most affected by this change in my life.  Especially since he needed me more than ever this month to be there to during phase he was going through.  Ok enough drama.  In conclusion, we talked last night, put it all on the table and cleared things up.  I know what I have to do and he knows what he has to do.  Yeah things will change a bit, but it’s up to us to find a situation that makes the both of us happy and comfortable.

To show how serious I am about how important YOU are to me.  Consider this a written notification that NESCAFE is back on track and will never go Black (get it?!).  LOLLLLL.

Mwaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Angel and I have been non stop chatting everyday over her upcoming wedding this summer.  She is rushing to prepare the thousands of items that must be done in time for the wedding.  Since both her and I are new to this whole thing, we’re quite shocked at the amount of preparation actually required.  From previous browsing over my dream wedding as well as suggestions from other friends, the best site I have come across till now is The Knot

The amazing thing about this site is that they have left nothing to the unknown… They provide planners, budget calculators, samples and pics of almost everything you can imagine to help you make an informed decision.  It goes as far as giving advice to brides on what’s to be expected and how to handle certain inevitable situations.  What’s even better is that you can create your own free website of your wedding through them and their simple easy to use templates.

P.s. Sita this post applies to you too ;) Mwah!

This Valentine came and went in good spirit.  There were some awkward moments and some really great ones.  One part of the weekend included cheese & wine.  So Hanx & I went to the grocery to choose and I was completely lost.  I mean I’ve heard about Cheese & Wine hundreds of times but when it actually came down to it, I had no idea what to choose and just how much so I followed his lead.   Nevertheless, it turned out to be successful and the selection of cheese he chose were delicious!  But to be on the safe side, I did my own research for next time on How to Make a Wine & Cheese Party. Here are some links that look the best.

Earthquake in Lebanon, but what about Tsunami??

An earthquake was reported earlier today in Lebanon (Tyre) with a magnitude of 5.0 .  Link.  Tremors were felt all throughout Lebanon and some of the Middle East.  According to Michel Hayek, who usually predicts the year’s events for Lebanon on the New Year, Lebanon will experience alot of Earthquakes this year.  Tyre has already felt a few in the past week or two but nothing more than a magnitude of 2 to 2.8.

Earthquakes are nothing new to Lebanon.  It is a well known fact that Beirut has been buried 9 times by earthquakes and tsunamis in the past.  The last reported disaster hit in 551AD wiping out all the coastal cities of Lebanon.  According to National Geographic, the next Quake – tsunami should be due any day now.
