I just finished with a full legs and underarms laser session at The Cosmetic Surgery Clinic (Virginia Clinics) on 4th ring road.  It took exactly 1 hour and a half and surprisingly didn’t hurt that bad.  Actually the cooling air with this laser machine made the pain almost unnoticeable except of course for certain areas right below the knee.  Fortunately for me, it felt nothing like the hell I had to endure for the Bikini Line I did a year ago.  I guess it’s because the machine I used in Beirut didn’t have a cooling tip and that’s one of the most sensitive areas of the body.

Anyway, first session is over with.  I already signed up for the next session which will be in one month.  The cost is 120KD for full legs and 30KD for underarms. If you want to do your legs on separate session… The lower leg is 70KD and the upper leg 80KD so I suggest you do it together if you can spare the extra cash to save money in the long run.   According to my specialist, I will need around 5 sessions to be practically hair free.  It is suggested to do 3 consecutive monthly sessions and then for the other two sessions when hair grows back after 2 or 3 months.  So all in all, I’m guessing the whole process will take anywhere from 6 to 8 months.

The only disadvantage to my brilliant idea to become hair-free is that I can’t attempt to get a tan until I am finished with my laser sessions.  Because the Laser sessions aren’t as effective on tanned skin.  According to the clinic and most articles on Laser removal, fair skin with dark hair is the best type of combination for optimal results.  Thinner hair and darker skin do not always work well and may take many more sessions to achieve required results.
