“The Moment of Truth” Ruins Marriage

I am really stunned by what people would do for money and fame.  The latest TV show that has got me addicted is “The Moment of Truth“, every wednesday at 8:00pm on MBC 4 (in Kuwait).  The concept of the show is to answer all brutally blunt questions honestly with a chance to win 500,000$ if you answer all 21 questions.  Some sample questions that are asked on the show are stuff like :

  • Have you ever lied to your spouse about the number of people you’ve slept with?
  • Do you fantasize about cheating on your spouse/partner?
  • Have you ever taken something from a store without paying for it?
  • Have you ever made a sexy video?
  • Have you ever posed nude?
  • Do you have fantasies you’d never admit to anyone?

The problem is, you can’t lie because the lie detector will scientifically prove whether you are stating the truth or just a lie.  As entertaining as it may seem to outsiders, I don’t see why people would put themselves through that agony for a quick buck unless they trully have nothing to hide.

If you want to be absolutely stunned by one episode of a wife who loses her husband because of the show.  Watch the part of the show that ruined their marriage.  LINK

Everything You Wanted to Know About Simplifying Your Life, and Way More

I’m finishing the last chapter of my book today (can’t wait for it to be done!) and so I thought I’d take a break and leave you with some of my favorite old articles, in case you missed them — the articles on simplicity.

As you might already know, living the simple life is one of my passions, and one of my greatest achievements. Sure, my life could probably get even simpler, but I’m happy with where I am. I hope that these articles can help you in your journey to a simpler life, should you choose such a path.

A quick note: There are a lot of articles below. You don’t have to read all of them. In fact, in the name of simplicity, please don’t. Choose a sample, and you’ll do just fine — there are some common themes that run through all of them anyway.

For All You “Friends” Addicts… It’s Quiz Time!

One of the best creations of the last decade had to be the “Friends” TV Sitcom.  I can honestly say that this TV show singlehandedly gave me anticipation, happiness, something to laugh at, people to relate to and a cure for boredom for 10 years.  And the amazing thing about it is that it never gets old… And if it does, give it a month or two and then it’s brand new all over again.  Another great thing about that show is that the writers managed to somehow create regular down to earth characters that almost everyone can relate to.

There are levels of the fanhood when it comes to “Friends”, there are those who just enjoy watching the show to relax every once in a while, there are those that have watched every episode and can watch it many times, then there are those who can literally quote every line before it is said on the episode.  I would probably be in the second category and that’s only cuz my memory isn’t good enough to remember all the lines.

I have found some really good “Friends” Quizzes that range from easy to crazy hard for anyone who wants to test their “Friends Knowledge”.
